Welcome to PackemWMS! We are on the path to becoming the most intuitive warehouse and inventory management software, designed and built by those who have operated a large 3PL for over four decades.

1. Storage Locations

First things first, we need to setup your warehouse storage locations. These are your Pallet positions or bin storage locations that are used to store inventory. We will use these locations to put away into, pick from and bill for storage.

Navigate to https://portal.packem-wms.com/locations and click the Import button to download CSV Template.

If you already have locations named/barcoded then you can import what you currently have into Packem.

If you don’t have your locations setup, then use the CSV template to build and import them.

Here are some examples of how to name your locations:

So you will name the location: A-1-1-1 , A-1-1-2, etc..

If you have multiple pallet positions on the same bin: A-1-1-1-L(left), A-1-1-1-R(Right)

2. Clients

Add your clients so we can import their inventory, receive inbound and orders.

Navigate to https://portal.packem-wms.com/customers page and click Add Client button to start.

3. Inventory

We need to import the initial inventory for each of the clients. We’ve had a few strategies that our customers have used to upload inventory into Packem:

• Bulk CSV Import:

  • Navigate to https://portal.packem-wms.com/inventory Click Import Inventory button and download the CSV template.
  • The template has a lot of columns, but the only required fields are: SKU, Description, UOM, Location and Qty. The UOM is the primary unit of measure for the product. So if you track the item by eaches, then UOM would be Each.
  • If you store the inventory on a Pallet, then use the “IS PALLET” column and enter Yes.

  Example: If your inventory for ABC123 is 1 Pallet of 10 boxes then you want to import your inventory with:

• Full Physical Inventory Count

  • In case your current inventory is not correct or a bit wacky, then you can execute a physical count of inventory and issue a receipt.
  • Navigate to https://portal.packem-wms.com/receiving/receipts ****and click “Create new Receipt”. Select the client name, Arrival date. Click Add Line Item in the “Line Items” section to add the SKU and quantity information.
  • This will allow you to print LPN for your pallets and barcodes for your cartons.
  • Repeat the same process until you have all the inventory accounted for.
