Third-party billing refers to shipping charges being billed to a separate account, not the shipper (you) or the recipient (your customer).
β Common use case: You're a 3PL warehouse shipping goods on behalf of a brand that sells products into large retailers like Walmart, Target, or Costco. Those retailers often require that shipping charges go to their own carrier account β not the brandβs or yours.
π Even though you ship it, Walmart pays for the shipping using their UPS or FedEx account.
